WHO IS MAX WELTON?

Max Welton (b. 1996) is a Glasgow based composer, writer, and performer. He is a recent graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where he studied under Oliver Searle, Gordon McPherson, and Colin Broom. His pieces have been performed by the Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Broderick Quartet and the Glasgow New Music Expedition. He is a composer for theatre, composing scores for the Theatre Royal BSE, Spinning Wheel Theatre, and Bring Out Your Dead. Max is also a writer and lyricist of musical theatre and works with writer Beth Tennick and her company ‘The Renfrew Collective’, most recently as a script editor, songwriter, and performer in their scratch musical “Attack of the Crab Monsters”. As a writer of film music he has written scores for short educational films as well as several online filmed conferences for Google.
